Custom kitchens, wardrobes and joinery for Tweed Heads - designed, built and installed with over 12 years of local experience
A custom bathroom vanity is measured, made and fitted to suit your room rather than squeezed in from a boxed module. We build vanities for homes right across Tweed Heads and the Northern Rivers, from beach houses at Kingscliff and Cabarita Beach to established ensuite renovations in Banora Point and Tweed Heads South. Because bathrooms and the Tweed's salt-air, humid setting are hard on materials, we carcass wet areas in HMR (moisture-resistant) board and fit soft-close hardware that stands up better to coastal conditions. Wall-hung, floor-standing, single or double-basin layouts are all made to order, with benchtops in compliant materials such as porcelain, natural stone, timber or laminate. Steve and the team handle the measure, build and install, so the finished vanity fits your plumbing and your space.

Tweed Heads Custom Cabinets
Every bathroom is a different shape, so we build vanities to match rather than stock a fixed range. Wall-hung (floating) vanities suit smaller ensuites and modern coastal builds where you want floor space and a lighter look. Floor-standing units give you more storage and a solid, traditional feel that many established Banora Point and Tweed Heads homes prefer. We make single and double-basin layouts, drawer-only banks, mirrored shaving cabinets and matching tallboys or laundry-style storage where the room allows. Handle-free push-to-open fronts, shaker doors and finger-pull profiles are all options. Tell us how the room is used and we will design around your basin, tapware and mirror positions.

Because bathrooms deal with steam, splashes and the Tweed's year-round humidity, material choice matters. We carcass wet-area cabinets in HMR (moisture-resistant) board, which copes better with damp conditions than standard particleboard, though no board is waterproof, so good sealing and ventilation still count. Doors and fronts can be laminate or melamine for value, or timber veneer and 2-pac (polyurethane) for a premium finish. We fit quality soft-close hinges and runners, the kind buyers recognise from brands such as Blum or Hettich, so drawers glide and close quietly. Benchtops are supplied in compliant materials only. We measure on site, build in our workshop, then install and scribe the vanity to your walls and plumbing.
Tweed Heads Custom Cabinets
Steve Smith has spent more than 12 years designing and building custom cabinetry across Tweed Heads and the Northern Rivers, so you deal with the person doing the work, not a call centre. We give a free measure and quote and a fixed, itemised price, so you can see exactly what your vanity includes. The business is fully insured with $20 million public liability, and we install with our own team rather than subcontracting the fit-out. We stand behind our workmanship, and manufacturer warranties apply to the hardware and materials we fit. For coastal and waterfront homes we can talk through corrosion-resistant hardware and finishes suited to salt air. It is local advice from someone who builds for Tweed conditions every week.

Price depends on size, materials, the benchtop, hardware and how much storage you want, so treat any figure as a guide until we have measured. As a rough starting point, a straightforward custom vanity often sits somewhere from $1,800 to $4,500, while larger double-basin units with premium doors and a stone or porcelain top can run higher. A full ensuite or main-bathroom fit-out with additional cabinetry costs more again. We give you a fixed, itemised quote after the measure, so there are no vague allowances. If you have a budget in mind, tell us early and we will suggest materials and layouts that make the most of it.

The nearest flat-pack warehouse is over the Queensland border near the Gold Coast, which means a self-managed run to another state and modules built to standard sizes. Older Tweed bathrooms and coastal ensuites are rarely a standard size, so a boxed vanity often leaves awkward gaps or wasted space around pipework. A custom vanity is measured to your exact room, basin and tapware, with the materials and finish you choose rather than what fits in a flat carton. You also get a local measure, local install and a local point of contact if anything needs attention. We are not knocking flat-pack for simple jobs, but for a proper fit in an odd or older space, made-to-measure usually wins. Everything is built and fitted here in the Tweed.

It starts with a free, no-obligation visit to your home anywhere across Tweed Heads and the Northern Rivers. We take precise measurements, discuss how you want the space to work and look, and suggest materials and finishes suited to your home and budget. You then receive a fixed, itemised quote and a design so you know exactly what is included before any work begins.

Once your design and quote are approved, your cabinetry is made to measure in our local workshop. We select materials suited to the job, using moisture-resistant board for kitchens, laundries and vanities and quality soft-close hardware throughout. Building in-house means we control the quality of every cabinet, door and drawer before it ever reaches your home.

When your cabinets are ready, our own team installs them cleanly and carefully, checking levels, alignment and the fit of every door and drawer. We work tidily, protect your home while we are there, and take the time to finish the details properly. Once we are done we walk you through your new cabinetry so you are confident using it.
Yes. For beachside and waterfront homes around Kingscliff, Cabarita Beach, Fingal Head and the Tweed River, salt air and humidity are a daily reality. We carcass wet areas in HMR moisture-resistant board and can specify corrosion-resistant hinges, runners and handles that hold up better in coastal conditions. No material is waterproof, so we also talk through sealing and ventilation. The aim is a vanity built for Tweed conditions, not a generic fit-out.
Absolutely, and it is a large part of what we do across Banora Point, Tweed Heads South and Tweed Heads. Older ensuites and main bathrooms often have non-standard sizes and existing plumbing that a boxed vanity cannot work around. We measure the space as it is, build to suit, and scribe the unit to your walls so it sits neatly. Many downsizer and retiree clients ask for lower-maintenance finishes and easy-access drawers, which we are happy to design in.
We supply compliant benchtop materials only, including porcelain and sintered stone, natural stone such as granite or marble (usually through licensed stonemasons), solid timber and laminate. We do not fabricate, supply or install engineered or reconstituted stone, which has been prohibited nationally since 2024 due to the silica risk to workers. We will help you weigh up look, durability and budget for your bathroom. Each option has trade-offs we will explain honestly.
It depends on the size of the job, the materials and our current workload, so lead times run in weeks rather than a fixed number of days. After the measure we give you a realistic timeframe for the build and install. Custom cabinetry is made to order, so it takes longer than grabbing a boxed unit, but the fit and finish are worth the wait. We will keep you updated as your vanity moves through the workshop.
We handle the whole job: measure, design, workshop build and professional installation by our own team. We fit and scribe the vanity to your walls and coordinate around your basin and tapware positions. Plumbing connections themselves are done by your licensed plumber, and we are happy to work in with them. You get one local point of contact from first measure to final install.
For a simple, standard-sized bathroom a flat-pack can do the job, but the nearest store is a run across the Queensland border and the modules only come in set sizes. A custom vanity is measured to your exact room, uses the materials and finish you choose, and is installed locally with someone nearby to call. For odd, older or coastal Tweed bathrooms, that tailored fit usually makes the difference. We will give you an honest view of which suits your situation.
