Steve Smith set up Tweed Heads Custom Cabinets after more than a decade building cabinetry across the far-north coast, and Tweed Heads has always been home base. The town sits right on the Queensland border beside Coolangatta, with the Tweed River running through the middle of it, so we know the mix of housing here well. A lot of the streets close to the water hold older homes and units that were fitted out decades ago and are now due for a refresh. We spend a good part of our week helping owners rework kitchens and laundries that no longer suit how they cook and store things. Because we live and work in the area, a home visit is a short drive rather than a trek from another city. That local footing is the whole reason people ring us first.

Do you offer engineered stone benchtops?

No. Engineered or reconstituted stone has been banned across Australia since 2024 because of the silicosis risk to the workers who cut it, so we do not supply or install it.
